Hey there! I’m Elisa.

I’m on a mission to help busy, exhausted people simplify their nutrition so they can ditch fatigue, gain clarity, feel amazing in their body, and reclaim the energy to fuel their passion for impactful work.

If you’re passionate about making a difference in this world, but you’re so exhausted you can barely think straight—I’ve been there. And don’t even get me started on how midlife seems to change everything to the point where you don’t even recognize yourself anymore.

I founded 14 Carrots because I wish this method had been available to me when I needed it—before I hit my third round of burnout. Focused on energy and vitality, the 14 Carrots method is an evidence-based, integrated approach to nutrition that empowers you to break free from fatigue without overhauling your entire life. And I use this method in my program Nourish To Shine: From Fatigue To Fulfillment In 4 Steps.

This isn’t a diet. It’s a way of life.

Why 14 Carrots? No, it’s not about eating carrots—unless you love them! (They’re packed with vitamins A, K1, B6, potassium, and fibre.) And it’s not a vegan thing—though I do work with plant-based clients.

Think of it like that 14K gold bracelet that goes with everything, fits seamlessly into your life, and makes you feel like you. It’s approachable, everyday wellness. Imagine finding your inner Energizer bunny that powers you through anything. It’s about shining from the inside out in a way that’s realistic and sustainable.

My approach is built on 5 key pillars:

  1. Joy Matters. If you’re not enjoying yourself, it’s not the right fit. When a healthy lifestyle brings you joy (and deliciousness), it becomes something you’ll want to stick to.

  2. Start Small, Go Big. I support you in making simple, manageable tweaks that fit into your life—not the other way around.

  3. Personalized for You. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to lasting transformation. Your plan is tailored to your unique needs and story.

  4. Seasonal Living. Tuning into seasonal eating and the environment around you can boost your health and help you flow with the natural rhythms of your life.

  5. Perspective is Key. Through educational resources and mindset coaching, you’ll reconnect with your body and gain a new perspective on diet and nutrition. It’s all about creating freedom around food.

I help guide you to clarity and ease with your nutrition, so you can regain the energy you need to live vibrantly and make the impact you dream of.

My Story

It’s funny how things can come full circle in life. I was once an athlete and aspiring orthopedic surgeon, majoring in Kinesiology and taking nutrition courses at university in Vancouver. But life had a different path in mind for me and after working at the university student newspaper, I pursued a career in magazines—and fashion found me. I spent those years in cities like London, New York and Toronto covering fashion weeks, producing photoshoots and writing about trends. I loved being an editor, but I also spent those years feeling ashamed about the size of jeans I ordered, getting critically looked up and down, existing on Diet Coke, and trying crash diets like grapefruit and dandelion tea.

And then my mom died and everything changed. I had just taken a job in fashion marketing to get back home and everything felt numb. For the next few years I moved from job to job as I progressed in my career, leaving for greener pastures every time I hit burnout in an industry that never felt like my real self. Over a span of 10 years I lost seven other close family members. Through so much grief and getting every single cold and flu along the way, I always ended up in the same place again: exhausted and frustrated.

During this time I actually did start to begin my own health journey. What was I missing that could help me be proactive with a family history of cancer? Why did I get sick so often? I cut out foods that didn’t make me feel good. My chef friend taught me how to cook with confidence at 30. I got pretty ripped going to barre almost every day. But no matter the tactics or the practitioners I visited, the food sensitivity testing I did, the number of cleanse protocols I tried—I continued on a yo-yo approach that vilified foods and maintained a focus on the size of my jeans. And I was still getting through each day with multiple coffees and Diet Coke.

Things started to shift for me around the time I started to learn how to meditate. I was finally tuning into myself and my body. Then the pandemic hit and I had a lot of time on my hands to tune in further. Just before my 40th birthday, I went back to school and started a two-year natural nutrition program.

Three months in, everything just cracked wide open. I finally got it. I changed my perspective and my approach, and I’ve honestly never felt better.

This doesn’t mean I’ve completed my healing journey—it’s not a destination. But I finally feel free of the baggage around diet and exercise because I learned some things and adjusted my mindset. I still enjoy a glass of wine and a donut—and I still drink coffee. My focus is on creating a lifestyle and diet that is in support of a fully energetic life, so that I can fill it with things that bring me joy—and have the resilience to weather the ups and downs with power.

It is my mission to show you how to gain energy and live a vibrant, fun, and fulfilling life. Do I think you need to eat buddha bowls and start your mornings with apple cider vinegar to do so? Only if you like those things! There’s no one-size-fits-all approach. If you’re not enjoying yourself, it’s not the right program. I work with you to create the best plan for your unique needs and lifestyle.
